Before you rely on anything here
This website gives general information about mediation and about Lachapelle Law. It isn't legal advice, and you shouldn't act on it without talking to a lawyer about your own situation.
A mediator is neutral
Greta Lachapelle is a lawyer, but as a mediator she represents neither party. She doesn't give either side legal advice about what's best for them, and anyone in a mediation is free, and encouraged, to consult their own lawyer.
No attorney-client relationship
Reading this site, calling the office or sending a note through the form doesn't create an attorney-client relationship with anyone. Mediation begins only when every participant signs an agreement to mediate.
Sample stories and testimonials
The mediations and testimonials on this site are samples. They aren't past results, they don't guarantee a similar outcome, and every case is different.
Please don't send confidential information
Don't send confidential or sensitive details through the contact form or by email before we've agreed to work together. A short description of what you'd like to settle is enough.
